BirdieBackers

For Students

Run the BirdieBackers
playbook on your campus.

Recruit golfers. Build supporter networks. Earn real money for real work. Build a resume that opens doors after graduation.

The role

What Ambassadors actually do.

Most ambassador programs over-promise. We don't. Here's the real work.

Golfer recruitment

Identify and recruit golfers at your school who would thrive on BirdieBackers. Most of your work happens here.

Onboarding support

Walk new golfers through the platform. Get them to their first content post and first supporters.

Supporter activation

This is where the milestones pay off. Help golfers turn their personal networks into recurring supporters.

Compliance coordination

Work with your school's compliance office. Stay current on NIL/amateur-status rules. Keep everything clean.

How you get paid

Milestones, not salary.

MilestoneAmount
Golfer completes onboarding$20
Golfer reaches 10 supporters$35
Golfer reaches 25 supporters$55
Golfer reaches 50 supporters$80
Golfer reaches 100 supporters$150
Recurring service fee$1/month per active golfer

Typical Ambassador

$1,500–$2,500/yr

Strong Ambassador (top 25%)

$2,500–$4,500/yr

Top performer

$5,000+/yr

Expect a 90-day ramp. Your first month you'll earn $50–$200, mostly onboarding bounties. By month 4, if you're working consistently, you'll be at $200–$400/month. Don't apply if you need quick money — apply if you want to build a real skill set and earn meaningfully over the school year.

Who fits

Honest fit.

We're looking for

  • Sports management, marketing, business, or communications majors
  • Sophomores or juniors (4-year horizon is ideal)
  • Students with existing campus connections (golf team, clubs, athletic department)
  • Comfortable with sales conversations and rejection
  • Interested in a career in sports business, marketing, or athlete representation
  • Willing to spend 8–12 hours/week consistently

We're not the right fit if

  • Need $500+ in your first month (this is a ramp role)
  • Uncomfortable with cold outreach or sales conversations
  • Already committed to 30+ hours/week of other work
  • Looking for an entry-level job rather than a contractor role
  • Graduating in fewer than 6 months

Frequently asked

A few common questions.

Do I need to be a current golfer?

No. In fact, non-golfers are often a better fit. If you are a competitive amateur or college golfer, the contractor agreement covers NIL/amateur-status considerations.

What schools are you hiring for?

We're building Ambassador coverage across college golf programs nationwide. Apply from any school; we'll review every application and reach out about a fit.

Is there anything to do over the summer?

Yes. Alongside your campus, every Ambassador can recruit from a shared pool of mini-tour and developmental golfers — Korn Ferry, Epson, PGA Tour Americas, and more. Those seasons run right through the summer.

Can I do this alongside another job?

Yes. This is contractor work, fully flexible.

What if I don't meet milestones?

You earn what you earn. The onboarding bounty is paid regardless of golfer success; milestones are performance-based.

Do I get any salary or just commissions?

No salary. This is contractor work with milestone-based compensation. We don't believe in paying for activity; we pay for outcomes.
