What is Birdie Backers?
Birdie Backers is a fan membership platform connecting golf enthusiasts with aspiring professional golfers. Supporters pay monthly subscriptions to help fund a golfer's season and gain exclusive community access in return.
Is this available internationally?
Yes. Supporters can join from anywhere in the world. Golfers on the platform currently compete primarily on US-based developmental tours (Korn Ferry, Forme Tour, Epson Tour, PGA Tour Americas).
Is this an investment product?
No. Birdie Backers is not a securities offering, investment vehicle, or financial product. Membership fees are fan subscriptions. Supporter reward pools are discretionary community benefits — not guaranteed financial returns.
Memberships
How much does it cost?
Fan Sponsor is $20/month. Premium Backer Club is $100/month. Both are billed monthly with no long-term commitment.
Can I cancel anytime?
Yes. Cancel from your supporter dashboard at any time. You retain access until the end of your current billing period.
Can I support multiple golfers?
Yes. You can hold active memberships with as many golfers as you like. Each is billed separately.
What payment methods are accepted?
All major credit and debit cards via Stripe. Apple Pay and Google Pay are also supported on compatible devices.
Supporter Reward Pools
What is a supporter reward pool?
Some golfers voluntarily allocate 0.5–2% of future tournament winnings into a pool. Premium Backer Club members who are active during the pool period may receive discretionary distributions from that pool.
Are pools guaranteed?
No. Pools depend entirely on the golfer winning prize money. If a golfer doesn't earn tournament income, there is nothing to distribute. This is a community benefit, not a guaranteed return.
Who controls the pool terms?
Each golfer sets their own pool percentage and duration. You can see the full terms on any golfer's profile page before subscribing.
Are supporter rewards taxable?
We recommend consulting a tax professional. Birdie Backers does not provide tax advice.
For Golfers
How do I join as a golfer?
Create an account, select 'golfer' as your role, and complete your profile. All golfer profiles are reviewed by our team before going live. Typically takes 24–48 hours.
Is there a fee to list my profile?
No upfront fee. Birdie Backers takes a platform percentage of monthly membership revenue generated through your profile.
Do I have to set up a reward pool?
No. Reward pools are entirely optional. Many golfers list without one.
